Square format. Cream boards with illustration to front. 83 pages. Brown and black illustrations with verses below. Spine and corners worn with minimal loss to top and tail of spine and slight chipping of surface paper to rear edge of spine. A few tiny dents to cover edges. Light vertical creases to front cover. Covers are a bit grubby. Neat inscription in ink to front endpaper. Endpapers very lightly browned. A few light foxspots to contents and a few pages have a very light vertical crease to centre. Overall a nice copy of a very scarce Rupert Bear book.

Blue cloth spine. Pictorial front cover shows 4 toddlers gathered around 'My first book'. A collection of traditional and original games, rhymes, stories and suggestions for children of one to three years of age. Spine and corners are bumped and worn, with some chipping. Inscription in ink on front endpaper. Pencil scribble to one page. A little foxing to some pages. A few margin tears.
