Covers grubby and marked. Both joints cracked. ink inscription to front endpaper. Small bookseller's stamp to pastedown. Neat colouring to title page. Endpapers browned, rear endpapers grubby. Just an odd fingermark to contents.

Small patch of surface paper damage and a small crayon mark to front cover. Prize plate and name in ink to top margin inside front cover (which is a colour plate). Some yellow crayon to one illustration. Small biro mark to first text page. Surface paper torn from top corner of inside rear cover (also a colour plate).

First few and last few pages are browned/foxed else the contents are clean.

Prize plate to front endpaper (with name blacked out). Heavy foxing at page edges. Price-cut wrapper is slightly edge worn and is grubby to rear panel.
