Price-cut wrapper is edge worn with a few small tears and is faded to spine, laminate has started to lift at front edge of spine.

Dark green cloth, gilt vignette & title to front. 22 woodcuts in b/w taken from the hand coloured edition of 1823, 4 of the illustrations are by Kate Greenaway. 20 pages. Plain endpapers. Spine and corners bumped, small splash mark to lower edge of rear cover. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Endpapers lightly browned. Foxing and fingermarks to contents but generally they are clean. Joints are cracked but binding still tight.

Green cloth spine, gilt titles. Grey boards with green title to front. Delightful pencil sketches of children and their doings. Spine bumped and browned. Covers very marked and heavy wear to corners. A few b/w photos of a child have been stuck to pages and one to front pastedown. A couple of hinges cracked. Only one tissue guard present and it is torn. Some fox spots and marks to contents including erased pencil writing to one page. Colouring to one small illustration. Light page browning.

Extracts from the diary of a Mongrelian named Gibus, so-called, says his master, because his face reminds him of his opera hat when it is shut up! Large format. Light brown pictorial cloth. Delightful and amusing colour plates plus a few b/w text illustrations. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. A few light marks to covers. Browning to endpapers. Small piece missing from edge of rear pastedown and light stain to top corner. Ink inscription to verso of frontis. A couple of corner tips creased. A few closed margin tears with no loss. Occasional fox spots and light margin marks but overall a decent copy with contents clean and bright.

Foxing, mainly to endpapers, prelims and page edges. Light browning to half-title page. Contents very good, just an odd mark mark. All plates present, one has creasing to margin. Dustwrapper has a few areas of loss along edges. Also grubby with some browning.

As the close of his life approached, Swinburne often expressed his desire to extract from his various volumes those poems addressed to children. He died without doing so. Edmund Gosse has brought together this collection of Swinburne's poems which are concerned with infancy. Rackham's delicate and romantic illustrations are a perfect complement to the text. 8 colour plates plus b/w text decorations. Dark green cloth with gilt titles and vignette to front cover. Green/white decorated endpapers. 133pp. cr 4to. Spine and corners bumped and a little worn. Gilt on the spine is dulled. Light scuffing to rear board. Writing in pencil to top of front pastedown. Rear endpaper has horizontal crease. Foxing throughout otherwise contents generally clean. Plates are bright.

Very good condition.
Publishers full brown calf binding with gilt decorations/titles. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. Colour and b/w mounted plates plus b/w illustrations. Very slight rubbing to cover edges. There is foxing to the contents (which affects the b/w plates but not the colour ones) but otherwise this is a lovely, bright copy. This copy would make a wonderful gift.
