Cloth spine. Pictorial front board shows two children, two cats and two dogs. Colour & b/w illustrations including double page spreads in colour by Aldin, and two b/w pages plus one colour page by Rackham. Spine has slight loss at top and 2" loss at base. Corners are worn, covers slightly edge rubbed. Foxspots and fingermarks to contents. Old tape marks to inner margins of frontis and title-page and old tape repairs to last page. Prize plate to verso of title-page (which is the belongs to page). Some margin tears.

Telling the story of Pickles the puppy who is always getting into a pickle! Large format. Brick red cloth spine, with gilt title. Green cloth covers with orange and gilt titles. 24 delightful colour plates. Recased in original covers, joints professionally repaired and rear free-endpaper backed as some loss to edges. Some pages and plates slightly worn to edges where they were loose before repairs. Some creases to pages. Light browning mainly to margins of text pages, plates bright and clean. Inscription in ink and small newspaper clipping (about Peter the lost Budgerigar!) fixed with white tape to verso of front-endpaper. Musty odour to contents. Still a decent copy of a scarce title, now in sound binding.

The "Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám" is a collection of quatrains that explores profound themes of existence, fate, and the search for meaning amid life's transience. The poem's settings play a crucial role in conveying its philosophical reflections. Purple suede soft covers. Colour illustrations. Covers are browned to edges and spine, with some spotting. Creasing also to suede cover edges. Front joint is cracked, with some of spine binding showing.

Not only a book on the subject of fantastic illustration, but also the catalogue of an exhibition. Foxing and some page browning. Wrapper is unevenly foxed and browned, with edge-creasing and a few chips and nicks.

Red cloth with gilt title to spine and elaborate peacock and elephant design to front cover. 20 superb colour plates, tipped onto cream card with decorative border and each with a tissue-guard. Spine and corners bumped. Uneven fading to spine and boards. Dated inscription in ink to front endpaper, the imprint of which can be seen on the half-title page. Some page browning and foxing with many pages being clean. Plates are in fine condition.

Both joints are slightly cracked. Foxing to page edges and margins and some fingering but many pages are clean.
