A collection of fairy-stories illustrated by 12 glorious colour plates plus b/w chapter head and tail decorations. 143 pages. Light blue cloth, silver titles. Spine and corners bumped and slightly rubbed. Foxing to endpapers and textblock. Dustwrapper has 2 large tears to front panel which have been repaired on verso with double-sided tape (although only 1 side of the tape used!), rear panel of wrapper is lightly foxed and there is some slight chipping to the spine/corners. I think the wrapper was probably in at least 2 pieces, if not 3 before the tape repairs.

New edition. Dark yellow cloth with black titles to spine and front cover and black and red vignette to front cover. 16 beautiful tipped-in colour plates, with captioned page guards before them. Small b/w illustrations to text. 254 pages. Minimal bumping to spine and corners. Spine faded with tiny dark mark towards base. Top edges of covers and text block browned. Light browning to endapers. Some foxing, mainly to prelims and page edges. All plates present and in fine condition. Contained in rare dustwrapper which is price-cut and edge worn with small chips at top of folds. Spine, folds and edges of rear panel browned. Remains of small circular labels to spine and bottom of front panel.

Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Top third of spine faded. Covers slightly grubby with some light scratches. Ink inscription to verso of frontis and belongs to box completed in frontis. Light browning and foxing to contents. Colouring to a few of the b/w illustrations.

Brown cloth, dark brown titles. A selection of verses which have appeared in 'Punch', all of which are about dogs. Twelve colour plates plus frontis plus b/w illustrations. 47 pages. A little bumping and wear to spine and corners. Some darkening to edges. Some light browning, foxing is mainly to prelims and page edges. Just an odd mark to contents. All plates present. Dustwrapper has one third of rear panel and half of rear flap missing, also loss from spine and bottom of front panel. Creasing and tears to edges, grubby some some darkening.

Or The Peer and the Peri. Red cloth covers with gilt titles and decorative gilt border to front cover. 8 colour plates. 50 pages. 9.5 x 7.25". A little bumping and wear to spine and corners. Covers slightly grubby with some darkening. Small bump to lower edge of front cover. One hinge cracked. Small pen mark to rear endpaper. Some light browning and an odd fox spot. A couple of corner tips creased. All plates present.

Dark blue/green cloth covers with gilt titles and floral decoration. Colour illustration of flowers with verse to every other page, brown and white illustration around box to page in between. Space to write on both pages. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Covers slightly grubby/darkened. Front joint starting to crack next to half-title page. Browning, some foxing and an odd mark to contents but no writing.

Colours still bright.

Delightful pastel colour illustrations. Pictorial boards and endpapers. Blue cloth spine. 91 pages. Bumping and wear to spine, corners and cover edges. Covers a bit grubby with a few marks. Ink inscription to front endpaper. Small tear and crease to bottom of first text page. Foxing to contents throughout but generally clean otherwise.

Small splits in cloth to top and bottom of spine. Gilt from spine has is very worn. Fading to spine and edge of rear cover. A few hinges are cracked. Foxing throughout including margins of plates. 2.5" closed tear to side margin of page 49/50.

Faint stain, only visible at certain angles, to spine edges of rear and front cover. Tiny bookseller's label to front pastedown. Foxing and light browning to endpapers. Contents very good just an odd margin tear and fox spot. Dustwrapper is edge worn and chipped with tears to ends of spine. Creasing to folds and sides of spine. Browning to spine and unevenly to rear panel. Browning and pink stains to verso corresponding with faint stains on covers.
