Brown embossed cloth, gilt title to spine and embossed title to front cover. 360 pages (including index). Spine and corners bumped and worn with splits to spine edges and some slight loss of cloth at top and tail. Covers discoloured and faded, small patch of paper stuck to rear cover. Name in heavy pencil to front pastedown. Joints are cracked but binding is still tight. Contents are grubby and foxed, initials to textblock.

Dark green spine and corners with gilt title on spine. Marbled boards. 108 pages, all edges gilt. B/w frontis and text illustrations. Marble effect endpapers to match boards. Spine and corners are bumped, rubbed and worn. Front free-endpaper is missing. Joints are cracked. Name in ink to front fly-leaf. Some browning to the corners of front fly-leaf. Crease to one corner tip. Some light margin marks but contents are clean considering it is nearly 200 years old!

3/4 black leather with purple cloth covers. Volumes 7 and 8 bound together. 416 + 416 pages. B/w illustrations throughout. Colour frontis for volume 8. Covers are edge worn, scuffed and marked. Some colouring (doodles to the rear of one plate and one b/w illustrations lightly coloured, there may be more that we have missed?). One page is part detached but is still present and hanging on by a 'thread'. There is foxing. Binders sticker to rear pastedown (H. Walker of Hyson Green).

Small format. Embossed red cloth, gilt titles. 4 b/w plates. 114 pages. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Loss to top and tail of spine. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper dedicated to Poet Longellow's two sons (Charley & Ernest), Ernest has been neatly crossed out. The inscription is dated 1851, the printed date on the title-page is 1852. Some hinges pulled, some page browning.

Spine and corners bumped and worn. Covers scuffed and marked. Front joint is cracked, hinges pulled showing stitching beneath but binding still tight. This is a well loved edition and the pages are quite grubby in places.
