Wrapper is torn and creased with some repairs to verso; top torn of rear panel has a couple of inch loss - with piece inserted to 'disguise' loss.

Illustrated with chromographs from the originals in watercolours. 12 mounted chromo plates. Brown decorated cloth with colour onlay to front. 126 pages. 8.5 x 6.25". Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. A couple of small marks to rear cover. Inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. Foxing and some fingering throughout, a couple of small marginal tears. A nice copy.

SIGNED with inscription by author on title page, Also SIGNED by various people mentioned in the acknowledgements by the author. Corners bumped. Title-page and foreword pages detached (due to binding error). A really nice copy.
