B/w illustrations. xvi and 584 pages. Some faint mottling to spine. Title block is lightly rubbed. Lower edge of text block has minor browning and a tiny amount of grubbiness. Overall, a lovely copy contained in publisher's slipcase which is lightly scuffed.

Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper.
Blue cloth, gilt title to spine. Grey and dark pink decorated endpapers. 255 numbered pages. B/w illustrations. Minimal rubbing to spine and corners. Some foxing to textblock and top edge of textblock a little dusty. Dustwrapper is foxed on verso, is slightly edge chipped with minimal loss and has a large tear to rear panel. There is a message from the publisher on the colophon page stating "the first impression of this edition of Cranford was published in 1940, and most of it was destroyed by enemy action".
