Published by Jonathan Cape.
1st
1940.
Very good condition in a good dustwrapper.
Turning from alligators, bandits and lice, Mr. Fleming here devotes his attention to the less savoury subject of Herr Hitler. There is, so thinks Fleming, no reason at all why Hitler should not at any moment decide to fly over London, either because he felt that way or for publicity purposes or both. The Fuhrer descends on England by parachute. He cannot speak English: he has no money: he is wearing the uniform of a German Field Marshal. Read on... Black cloth boards, silver title to spine. B/w illustrations. Boards a little dusty in appearance. Name in ink to front endpaper. Minor foxing present. Pictorial dustwrapper is edge-worn, has a 4" tear to front panel, a few chips to edges, rear panel is heavily scuffed.
