Includes: St. Paul's Cathedral; York Minster; Ely Cathedral; Norwich Cathedral; St. Alban's Cathedral; Salisbury Cathedral; Worcester Cathedral; and Exeter Cathedral. B/w illustrations. Top edge gilt. White boards a little grubby. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Text block browned. Hinges pulled but binding tight. Endpapers lightly browned. Plain blue cloth dustwrapper with gilt title to spine is heavily faded to spine and lightly frayed at edges.

Containing the following parishes and hamlets in the hundred of Caldicot: Chepstow, St. Arvans, Penterry, Mounton, Mathern, St. Pierre, Runstone, Portskewet, Sudbrook, Caldicot, Ifton, Caerwent, The Chace or Forest of Wentwood. Boards rubbed and worn at corners, boards marked, spine grubby. Name in ink to front pastedown. Front joint starting to crack but binding is tight. Scattered foxspots (pale) throughout and a few instances of grubby fingermarks to margins. Newspaper cutting pasted to rear pastedown. Some pencil annotation.

Frontis map is beautifully clean and bright.
