Good condition.
The author's journey across the Inland Ice of Greenland. Blue cloth boards, silver titles and vignettes to front. Folding maps and numerous b/w illustrations. Boards are unevenly faded, worn at spines with 3" crack to top front edge of volume II. Small split to cloth at lower rear spine edge. Silver titles are bright. Some staining and light marks to boards. Text block a little grubby and browned. Inscription in ink to prelims of both volumes. Front joint broken to volume II but binding otherwise tight. Rear free endpaper missing to volume I. Some dampstaining and foxing throughout. Hinges a little pulled. Some pages unopened at edges.

Spine slightly bumped and darkened with a small faded patch where there is a matching piece missing from the dustwrapper. Endpapers partly browned. Light foxing to contents which are otherwise clean. Dustwrapper is slightly edge worn and torn and has a small piece missing to spine.
