Illustrated with 16 colour plates and over 250 b/w drawings. Blue cloth with dark titles to spine and front cover. Pictorial endpapers. 252 pages. Says published by Hutchinson & Co. on title page, but has 'New Century Press' to base of spine. Title to front cover and spine: The Complete Edition of Andersen and Grimm. Spine is faded and foxed. Some spotting and a little fading to rest of cover. Front cover is a little bowed. Foxing and browning to pages internally, to varying degrees; including to colour plate pages. All plates present.
The Polytint Fairy Tales, No 1. Dark pink cloth spine, pictorial boards. Pink and white striped endpapers. Lovely colour illustrations. Unpaginated. 10.5 x 7.5". Bumping and creasing to corners and spine. A little fraying to cloth. Front joint is partially cracked. Some page browning, light foxing.
Yellow cloth. Colour title-page - double spread. Numerous b/w illustrations. Yellow cloth boards are foxed especially rear board, spine lightly browned. Top edge of text block foxed. Contents clean.

Orange/brown cloth spine. Large format. Pictorial boards. Numerous coloured and b/w illustrations by Anne Anderson, illustrating Hans Andersen and Grimms' Fairy Tales. Boards scuffed and edge-worn. 'Angela' written in pencil to rear board. Front hinge starting to split (between frontis and title page. Most top margin corners have loss or surface paper damage... perhaps the book had been exposed to damp which caused the top corners to stick together and they have then been prised apart? Clear tape repair to first page of Hansel and Grethel.

Small damp mark along top edge of rear cover. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Foxing to endpapers and outer page edges.

Corners bumped. Some rubbing to board edges. Covers a little grubby. Front joint just beginning to crack at the bottom. Light browning to rear endpaper. Some foxing and fingering. One plate partially detached.
Deluxe edition, limited to 525 numbered and signed copies. Bound in light grey cloth with gold pictorial spine. Gold pictorial white label to front cover. Top edge gilt, others uncut. 13 tipped-in colour plates and 43 b/w drawings. Mauve on white pictorial endpapers. 250pp. 12 x 9.5". SIGNED by Rackham. Limited edition: this is copy number 352 of 525. Spine and corners bumped, with some wear to the cloth. Some marks to boards. Cracking ans splitting to front joint. Endpapers browned. Bookplate pasted to half-title page. All colour plates present: last plate is corner creased but all others are in fine condition. A few scattered foxspots. Contents generally clean and bright, but pages 248-9 are browned.
His master rewarded Hans for his faithful service with a lump of gold. Happily Hans set off to see his mother after seven years, but before long he was persuaded to part with his precious burden. Oblong format, white pictorial paper boards. Colour illustrations, one line of text to a page. ISBN: 0192797077. Heavy bump to top corners affects all pages too. Some wear to spine and corners. Covers a tiny bit grubby. Contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn and creased with a few small chips. Also slightly grubby and browned. Top corner crease to both flaps. Book has been used as a rest for writing, visible on dustwrapper at certain angles.
"A New Collection of Popular Tales" translated from the German by Taylor. 3/4 leather binding with gilt title and decoration to spine. Blue cloth to covers. B/w plates. Spine is rubbed and slightly darkened. Corners are slightly worn. There are a few light marks to the front cover. Both joints are cracked but not broken. Most of the tissue-guards to the plates have been removed. I think there may be an illustration to the prelims missing. Plate to page 200 has been repaired (was in two pieces has been laid down on a white piece of paper) and the last plate has lower corner torn off (actual illustration not affected). There is foxing and fingermarks to the contents. A decent copy overall of this very rare Brothers Grimm item.
