Containing his Life in London, or, A True Picture of the British Metropolis. Second Volume only but complete in itself. An imitation of Egans's 'Life in London'. Full leather, burgundy title blocks and gilt titles with Raised bands to spine. 16 hand-coloured plates. Boards heavily rubbed and scuffed, corners worn. Front and rear hinge cracked but the binding is nice and tight. Foxing throughout. All plates present.

To Which is Prefixed and Affectionate Address on the Duties and Obligations They Owe to God and Their Parents. Illustrated with upwards of 150 b/w engravings. xxxviii + 224 pages; 192 pages + 3 page plate list plus 1 page booklist. This is volume 1 only, volume 2 is "The Good Child's Reward". Spine and corners worn. Covers are very scuffed. Joints are cracked but binding is firm. Some page browning, grubby fingermarks and light foxing.

10.5 x 8.5 inches. Brown leather spine and corners. 6 b/w plates. No author mentioned but believed to be Richard Elsam. The Practical Builder's Perpetual Price-Book; Elucidating the Principles of Correctly Ascertaining the Average Value of the Different Artificer's Works Usually Employed in Buildings; With the Customs of Measuring and Valueing in the Various Parts of the United Kingdom. Book: Inscription in ink to front endpaper which is also part detached from binding. Endpapers foxed. Front board detached. Boards worn with loss of colour. Base of spine chipped with loss. Corners bumped and worn. The plate descriptions on page 160 are slightly confusing and it could be argued that there should be 8 plates in this volume, but only 6 are bound in and none appear to have been removed. Opposite the frontis appears to be the half-title page with no title page present, we believe this is the way this copy was bound.
