The author recounts his exploits as a hunter, from boyhood days as a traunt in a Welsh mining valley, ratting and pursuing such game as could be found with a lurcher. He also explores such vanished pastimes of the working man as cockfighting. The main characters are his terrier, San, and two hawks, a buzzard and a goshawk. Green boards, silver title to spine, b/w illustrations. ISBN: 0851151086. A few grubby marks to text block. Price cut pictorial dustwrapper is slightly faded to spine.
