Book has possibly been restitched as thread in middle of book is blue. Closed tear to one page. A couple of grubby marks otherwise contents generally clean.

Red cloth boards with gilt titles to spine. Volume I has a number of maps (sketches) bound in to the volume. Volume II is a red cloth box of 40 maps. Reprint. Spines faded. Volume I: Bookplate to front pastedown and name in ink to front endpaper. Browning to endpapers and text block. Volume II (box of maps) cloth is mottled and a little frayed, name in ink to top of contents. All maps present. One map slightly creased else all others in excellent condition.
