Very good condition in a good dustwrapper.
Attractive red cloth with gilt titles and decoration to front cover. Colour plates. 160 pages. Top edge gilt. Spine and corners very slightly bumped and rubbed. Light foxing to outer page edges. Dustwrapper has pictorial pastedown to front, is browned and edge-worn and is split to spine. Also three paper repairs on verso of wrapper and small red mark to front.

F.H. Townsend
Frederick Henry Townsend (February 25, 1868– December 11, 1920) was a British illustrator and cartoonist. He illustrated the second edition of Charlotte Brontë's 1847 novel Jane Eyre, A Child's History of England and Gryll Grange, and Nathaniel Hawthorne's House of the Seven Gables in 1902.
