Spine browned, boards unevenly faded and marked. Text block browned. Hinges pulled but binding is tight. A few scattered foxspots and margin marks to contents.
Very dark blue cloth with gilt titles to spines. Marks to covers. Bumping to corners. Possible ex-lib. with some bookplates etc. partially removed from endpapers. Chipping to tops and tails of spines. Some underlining and annotation. A reading copy.
Beige cloth covers with gilt title to spine and pictorial front cover. Stunning colour and b/w plates throughout. Humourous brief text captions ajoining plates. Simple b/w text illustrations accompanying verses. Large format. 76 pages. Top edge gilt. A delightful book! Spine and corners a little bumped. Covers a little grubby. Small booksellers label to rear pastedown plus date stamp. Endpapers browned. Small tears and a small piece missing to front endpaper. Couple of hinges slightly cracked. Contents very good. Includes a book mark with an original drawing.
