This is Copy No. 26. Some light rubbing/wear to spine. Absolutely stunning book! Contained in a slip case that has some spotting.

Large format. Green cloth with gilt titles to spines, vignettes to front covers and bottoms of spines. This is the 3rd edition, thoroughly revised and enlarged with many new plates. 248 plates (232 originals & 12 extra plates for this edition). Bumping and wear to spines and corners; some fraying to cloth. Heavy wear to some edges. Names in ink to prelim pages. Some hinges are pulled. Page edges of some pages are unopened. Volume 3 - plates 105 + 106 are detached. Foxing.
6 volumes. Green cloth, gilt vignettes to front cover. Gilt decorations to spine. 365 hand-coloured plates. All volumes have faded from green to brown. Varying degrees of bumping and chipping, with some splits to corners and top and tails of spines. Volume I - Rear Joint has almost broken (very weak)- probably closer to good condition; Volume III - Loose pages - 227-230; Volume IV - Loose pages - again 227-230; Volume VI - Plate page 13 has light mark across uncoloured area. ALL volumes have varying degrees of foxing and margin marks. Inscriptions in ink to front endpapers of all volumes. ALL plates are present and exquisitely hand-coloured!

SIGNED by Artist to title page. Foxing to endpapers, outer page edges and a few page margins. Rear endpaper is creased. Slip case is split along two sides with tape repairs.
