An accurate facsimile of the 1872 edition. The book was originally published probably in 1492 in Old Flemish and as such is therefore the first printed work relating to the sport of angling. In 1872 an edition of 25 copies was privately printed and it is from one of these that the Honey Dun Press produced their facsimile in a limited edition of 150 copies. The book is printed on English hand made paper with deckled edges. The top edge coloured. Red morocco grained leather spine with gilt title. Swedish hand marbled paper boards. In Honey Dun Press style of card boxes with paper labels. 125 copies were for sale, 25 copies were out of series for private distribution. This is one of the 25 copies. Text in English. With woodcut illustrations as printed in the original Flemish edition. ISBN: 0904104052. This is an out-of-series copy no. 00. Box has the copy number written on top front corner.

Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. 3 of the plates have light corner creases, all others in fine condition. Some light foxing (mainly to prelims and outer page edges). A very handsome book.
