Large, heavy format. Black boards with gilt title to spine. B/w and colour photos and illustrations. From the tiny community founded in the fens by St. Etheldreda in 672, and refounded as an abbey in 970, grew one of the greatest monasteries in England. ISBN: 9780851159454. Spine bumped. A couple of small spots to textblock and a couple of lower page corner tips slightly creased else contents fine. Dustwrapper is slightly creased at edges.

This first volume covers the history of Douglas and its associate companies, and details all of its aircraft up to the 1967 merger with McDonnell. Blue boards, gilt title to spine. The first vehicles of this class of over 1400 vehicles had outside staircases while the most developed examples led the way to the STL of 1932.
