Two volumes. Large format. Full brown leather binding, raised bands and gilt gilt decorations to spine. Gilt titles and decorations to front cover. All edges gilt. Numerous b/w steel engravings. A Delineation by Pen and Pencil of the Mountains, Rivers, Lakes, Forests, Water-Falls, Shores, Canyons, Valleys, Cities and Other Picturesque Features of our Country. 12.5 x 10 inches. Book: all plates present. Damage to first two pages of Volume I, with slight loss; damage horizontally to front board (small dip to centre as if tightly bound by a rubber band at some point). Dampstaining to both volumes also affecting plates. Hinge of front board of Volume II slightly cracked; mark to frontis and title page. Edges a little worn. Name in ink to prelims of both volumes and page edge browning. Overall, not too bad for the age, size and weight of books.
