Sections are Round or Parlour Games, Toy Games and Toy-Making, Mechanical and Arithmetical Puzzles, Card Games, Parlour Magic and Fireside Fun. B/w diagrams. 224 pages plus publication list. Second Edition. Heavy wear to spine and corners. Splits to cloth at ends of spine. Covers grubby, spine browned. First gathering is detached, from front endpaper to page 16. Another gathering detached, pages 145 to 160. Joints cracked. Small bookseller's stamp to front endpaper, ink name to verso of frontis. Heavy foxing to tissue guard and title page. A few marks to contents but most pages are clean.

Small format. Red cloth. 20 new and original games including The Anchor, Rainbow, Grand National, Noak's Ark etc. 63 pages. Cloth a little rippled on rear cover. One hinge cracked. Some browning to joints and a few fox spots to endpapers. Dustwrapper is browned, especially front panel. Edge worn with a few chips, creases and marks. Name in pen to top of front flap.
