List of illustrations mentions a fronitispiece which this copy does not have. B/w illustrations to the text. xlv and 578 pages including index. Top edge blue. Reprint. Boards lightly rubbed at corners, a few light scuff marks. Name in ink to front endpaper. Text block lightly browned. Contents otherwise clean.

Large format. Dark blue leather spine with gilt titles. Pale blue silk moire sides. Top edge blue. Superb colour illustrations by Di Paolo. Translated by Cary with an introductory essay by Prodger. A few minor (very light) marks to leather spine. Contents fine. A lovely copy contained in publisher's slipcase which has some very light shelf-scuffing (NR F).
