Bill is in danger from his enemies and must disappear for a while so what could be better than visiting the lonely bird-islands on the far- off northern sea. Of course they sail straight into adventure. What is going on? Bill guesses and pays for his guessing and then the four children are left alone on Puffin Island expecting the enemy to come and capture them,
