Almost very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. Three children, home for the holidays find a mysterious boy living next-door. Red cloth, black titles. Black and white illustrations. 184 pages.

A little bumping to spine and corners. Spine has a little fading at top and bottom and a few lighter spots in between. A couple of yellowed tape marks to endpapers. Outside edge of last page (blank) is a little ragged. Heavy foxing, mainly to endpapers, prelims and page edges. Top edge of text block grubby. Dustwrapper is edge worn, torn and creased with some loss to top and bottom of spine and folds. Tears to top third of spine but no loss. Tape marks to flaps. Spine slightly faded.

  • Three children return home for the holidays to find there is a boy living next door to them - a very mysterious boy. People tell them there is no boy there, but they know there is. Who is he and why is he hiding? They tunnel under the hedge to the boy, and then the fun begins. Kit is a prisoner and is in danger of being kidnapped. The children make up their minds to save him.
