The Gloucestershire Regiment was formed nearly 300 years ago, and is perhaps best known as the only regiment of the British Army which is permitted to wear its badge at the back of the cap as well as the front. Price-cut dustwrapper (torn from lower part of front flap) is a little browned, faded to spine, grubby, worn at edges with some loss.

Cream cloth with red titles and borders. 7 b/w illustrations including frontis. 241 pages. Reprint. Mark to top of spine (horizontally) and light fading to base of spine. Boards otherwise clean. Foxing mainly to text block, endpapers and some margins. Small name in ink to front endpaper. Top corner of page 195 and 197 is mis-cut as too large and therefore folded over (binding error). Pictorial dustwrapper has loss to base of spine (in line with the fading to spine), top of spine and corners lightly worn and chipped, overall is grubby with green marks to rear panel and foxing.
