Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper.
A fully illustrated history of the Household Cavalry, which comprises the three oldest and most senior regiments in the British army: the Life Guards, the Blues and the Royals. Black cloth boards, gilt title to spine. Gold textured endpapers. xiv and 625 pages including index. ISBN: 9781405055741. Text block is a little grubby. Minor fading to edge of boards. Light rubbing of joints. Contents clean. Price-cut pictorial dustwrapper is a little scuffed.

The part 8 Corps played in the invasion of Normandy. Light blue/grey cloth boards, red titles. 3 colour survey maps in pocket at rear of book. Cloth boards browned at edges and spine, base of spine worn. Small knock to vertical edge of boards. Name in ink to front pastedown. What looks like a browned damps stain running vertically at edges (margins) of prelims. A few margin marks to contents but generally clean. All colour maps present and in good condition.

The main theme is based on the official records of the 13th Battalion of the Rifle Brigade and all the incidents described in the narrative really happened. Green cloth boards, gilt title to spine, onlay on black cloth to front. Covers heavily rubbed, browned and faded. Corners lightly worn. Inscriptions in pencil to front endpaper. Text block browned. Some foxing throughout and a few margin marks.
