This book traces the constitutional development of the Athenian state from the regal period to the restoration of the radical democracy at the end of the fifth century B.C. Blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine. Reprint. Text block browned, with some foxing. Quite a bit of annotation to contents mainly to margins and in pencil, a little in biro. Some foxing to front endpaper. Blue dustwrapper is edge-worn and torn with some slight loss at corners, some foxing and general grubbiness, spine faded.
