Small name in ink to front free-endpaper and prize inscription in ink to verso of frontis. Lower corner of rear cover and of most page corner tips damaged from a fire. Foxing throughout.
One of R. Caldecott's Picture Books. Small, square format. (5.5 x 4.5"). Pictorial card wraps. Colour & b/w illustrations. All edges gilt. Slight discolouration to rear cover. Browning and foxing to prelims and last few pages. Contents clean. Also comes with a letter from the publishers confirming that only 4 titles of these small size Caldecott books were printed.
