Navy blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine. ISBN: 9780199551088. Shelf-wear to top of spine. Name & date in ink to front endpaper. Else a lovely copy. Cream dustwrapper has a small closed tear (no loss) to lower front edge.

Small, oblong format. Cardwraps held together with a silk ribbon. 4 colour plates. Covers are grubby. Silk ribbon has been replaced with silver paper(?). Some grubby marks inside covers but plates still bright and clean.

B/w plates. 336 pages including index, 48 pages of publisher adverts to rear. Boards marked. Coffee (?) stains to top edge of prelims (not too bad). Endpapers browned. A few foxspots to contents, a few grubby marks. Text block browned. Front hinge starting to split but binding is tight. All plates present.

Pictorial dustwrapper is lightly browned across top front panel edge.

Foxing to outer page edges and margins. Wrapper to volume I is MISSING it's rear flap and panel. All other wrappers also have edge-chipping and creasing; Maps volume has 1" loss to top of spine.

Pen mark/scratch across middle part of front cover. Rear cover lightly browned with a couple of small marks. Contents are complete and unused but have some browning.
