Maroon embossed cloth with gilt title pieces to spine and front cover. Full page b/w plates with tissue paper guards. 143 pages plus adverts to rear. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Spine darkened and gilt dulled. Covers grubby/faded. Name plate to front pastedown. A few small foxspots. Lower 1" of rear joint is cracked.

Hand-coloured illustrations. 32 pages (printed on one side only). Covers are worn and scuffed. New endpapers. Frontis is MISSING! Light foxing and grubby fingermarks to pages. A decent copy of an early edition.
