Spine lightly faded but gilt still bright. Text block lightly browned and lightly marked (does not detract). Some page browning and scattered foxing. A very nice copy considering the age. All plates present.

Modern binding; cloth spine and marbled blue boards. B/w illustrations. Book was originally in cardwrap form, but has been bound into a hardback. Original paper wrapper covers are still present and inserted to rear of book. Possibly ex-lib., with 'withdrawn stock' ink stamp to title page. A few grubby margin marks.
