Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper.
This volume records in an intimate manner, the way of life of the people in the middle of the twentieth century. Red cloth boards, gilt title to spine and coat of arms to front. B/w maps and charts. Corners lightly rubbed. Text block browned and foxed. Inscription in ink heavily crossed out in black felt-tip to half-title page. A few scattered foxspots present. Price-cut cream dustwrapper with red titles is browned, a little scuffed and worn, minor closed tear (no loss) to top rear corner.

Green decorative cloth, gilt titles to spine and front cover. 20 tipped-in colour plates plus b/w text illustrations. 7s 6d series. Bumping to spine and corners. Browning to spine. Front endpaper is MISSING. Foxing is heaviest to prelims and outer page edges. Some page browning.
