Third edition - enlarged. A book about Vivisection and experiments on animals. Original red cloth with gilt lettering. Pages: 81-99 are a brochure for the London Anti-Vivisection Society. 8 coloured plates of operations performed by the author on dead animals - repetitions of what he had seen done on living animals. ix and 99 pages. Covers mottled, and browned to spine. Browning to text block and endpaper. Front joint pulled between front endpaper and half-title page. First plate almost detached. Contents clean.
