Very good condition. A work in two parts of which this is Part I. The author endeavours to furnish the sea-side naturalist, what the Linean Genera Insectorum were to him. This book contains figures of three hundred and forty species of which one hundred and twenty are drawn from living, and one hundred and two from preserved specimens. Green cloth boards, gilt title to spine. B/w illustrations within the text. xi and 203 pages including index plus four page publication adverts to rear.
Top & tail of spine and corners lightly rubbed. Text block browned. Top of title page has been cut off and is missing but does not affect the title itself. Some light page browning. Rear endpapers a little grubby. Overall a decent copy.
