Published by Academic Press. 1983. Slightly better than very good condition in a very good dustwrapper.

Large format. Colour and b/w illustrations. The most authorative and comprehensive work ever published on the birds of Africa. Includes full bibliographies, acoustic references and indexes. Volume I is a second printing with corrections. Volume II-VII are first editions, ascending years. Some text blocks a little grubby with minor foxing or shelf wear. Contents are fine. Dustwrappers are faded at spines. Volume V has a small closed tear to top front edge of dustwrapper and top of spine, Volume III has a small stain and closed tear to top rear edge of spine (minor). Some dustwrappers have creasing at vertical spine edge. Overall a very nice set.

A 'New Naturalist' publication. Green cloth. A study of Britain's 24 diurnal raptors.16 b/w plates, with 15 plates including at least 2 photographic studies. This book contains a wealth of scientific information on 15 resident, 7 vagrant and 2 migrant species of eagles, falcons, hawks and vultures in Britain. The detailed tables, maps, figures and bibliography indicate the depth of research in this study. ISBN: 0002194058. Some foxspots to outer page edges. Wrapper is price-cut and has clear adhesive film covering it and stuck to verso at edges (done by publisher). Wrapper spine is also faded.
