Abridged from 'Homes Without Hands'. Full calf leather binding with 5 raised bands on spine, gilt title and decorations. Gilt border to boards. Marbled endpapers and text block. B/w illustrations. New edition. xii and 411 pages including index. Joints cracked, front board a little loose because of this. Some surface leather scraped to lower front board. Gilt title and decorations to spine bright. Some rubbing to corners. Contemporary inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper, dated 1886. Foxing to fly leaves and a stain to front fly leaf. Else contents are clean and tight.
