Very good condition. Fourth Edition with considerable additions and alterations. Describing the Orders, Genera and Species of Shells with Observations on the nature and Properties of the Animals, and directions for collecting, preserving and cleaning shells. Full calf leather boards, gilt borders, gilt title to spine on red title block. Marbled endpapers. 7 hand coloured plates. xii and 149 pages plus plates to rear.

Spine & corners lightly rubbed, some spotting to boards. Bookplate to front pastedown. A few very light touch pencil annotations. Some foxing present. All plates present with some browning. A nice copy.
