Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. The very first Famous Five book in which the Five encounter a ruined castle, a wreck and buried treasure. Red boards. 191 pages. Blue pictorial endpapers showing the island. B/w illustrations.

10th impression. Spine and corners bumped. Covers slightly marked. Inscription in ink to verso of front free-endpaper. Text-block is grubby and some page margins also grubby. Some small margin tears (text not affected). Price-cut wrapper (new price printed above) is edge worn and creased, large tears to folds have been tape repaired.
