Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. The Famous Five's first adventure featuring a ruined castle, a wreck and buried treasure. Red boards, black title to spine and front cover. Plain endpapers. 32 full-page b/w illustrations.

SIGNED by the author (by means of an inscription to Rosemary) to front endpaper, also another inscription to Rosemary on same page. Spine bumped and fading to top edge of front cover. Contents bright and clean. Dustwrapper is slightly worn at top and tail of spine with minimal loss, tear and slightly grubby to rear panel, light vertical crease to edge of spine on front panel.
