Pictorial front board showing a young lady sat on a fence. First story 'That ordinary girl'. 6 colour plates, b/w illustrations. Spine and corners bumped, covers slightly edge rubbed. Heavy foxing. Old price to front free-endpaper (blotted out with pencil). Scarce dustwrapper is grubby, foxed, worn and torn with tape repairs on verso. Small section of loss to lower edge of rear cover has been patched with paper of similar colour.

First and last hinge cracked. Name in ink to top edge of first blank pate. Hinges pulled but binding tight. A few light marks to contents.
