The story of Colonel Jack, an illegitimate child who faces hardship from an early age. Originally published in 1722. Yellow pictorial cloth with black title block and gilt title to spine. Full page black and brown wood engravings. 318 pages. Spine is grubby and the title block is scuffed. Boards a little grubby. Spine very slightly cocked. Text block lightly browned. Contents clean. Contained in publisher's slipcase which is worn and split at corners, scuffed on ends.
