  • Fragrant mists glaze distant woods, the swallows are preparing for their migration, and the winter visitors have not yet arrived. It is autumn, that time for reflection and contemplation - and BB, in his personal Indian Summer, records his own vivid impressions of summer's end.
  • He writes about his absorbing interests - wildfowling, carp fishing, fighting for the survival of the purple emperor butterfly, and painting - as well as recording with some sadnesses - the loss of his fish in Big Pond under the winter's ice and the decrease in bird species in the countryside.
