Painting contest partially completed but still present. Textblock and page margins are grubby.

Foxing to endpapers. No names, not price-cut. Magic paintings have been completed. Hinge between pages 62 and 63 is partially cracked. There is light page browning/foxing at the edges. A very nice copy.

Pictorial paperwraps. Pictorial front cover shows Rupert on a hobby-horse dressed as a cowboy. 1st story: Rupert and the Wild West Game, 2nd story: Rupert and the Baby Cloud. Colour illustrations. 'R' to Rupert title on front cover has been inked around with red pen. Name to top of front cover, a little surface paper damage. Some damage - surface paper chipping and loss to bottom edge of rear cover. Crossword has been completed in pencil.
