Very good condition. The first in the Milne Pooh quartet in which we meet Winnie-The-Pooh for the first time in the Teddy Bear, poem 'A bear, however hard he tries, Grows tubby without exercise...' Delightful rhymes and illustrations. Dark blue cloth with gilt title to spine and vignettes to front and rear cover. Plain endpapers denoting the first impression of 5,140 copies. B/w text illustrations. Top edge gilt.
Spine and corners bumped and slightly rubbed. Some very light scuffing to covers. Endpapers are lightly browned. Small, light brown stain affecting the margins of 10 pages. Contents otherwise clean. A super copy of the scarce first edition, first impression.
