- The Adventure began when Timothy and his special friend, Willie Straw, found a bright blue bottle on the seashore and took it home. The water inside the bottle was magic and of course everybody wanted it - especially two old witches who had managed to catch little Phoebe the Hare - who-lives-in-the-Moon, and were busy getting ready to enjoy jugged hare for supper at their dark castle in the middle of the lake, with the great big dragon who guarded the entrance gates.
