Slightly better than very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. Large format. Red cloth with gilt title to spine and elaborate peacock and elephant design to front cover. 20 superb colour plates, tipped onto cream card with decorative border and each with a tissue-guard.
Cloth and gilt are beautifully bright (where they've been protected by wrapper). Some foxing and light marks to endpapers and outer page edges. All plates are present and in super condition! Scarce wrapper has darkened to spine; a little edge-creasing; a few small tears and chips to corners and top and tail of spine. A few grubby marks to rear of wrapper. Onlay to front of wrapper is still bright.
