P.H. Gosse (1810-88) was among the most distinguished natural historians in the nineteenth century. He was a true field naturalist, and all his work is pervaded with his own observations. This bibliography is the result of a collaboration between an expert on Gosse and natural-history writing in general in an attempt to provide a complete inventory of all the writings of Gosse, with full bibliographical descriptions and analysis of various editions, issues and bindings.
