Ladybird Series 497. Buff boards with square pictorial onlay to front. B/w illustrated endpapers. Colour illustrations throughout. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Wrapper edge-worn.
Ladybird Series 474. A Tasseltip Tale. Pictorial paper boards. Light bumping to a few corners. A little wear to cover edges. Some small grubby marks to covers. Name and address in ink, in a 'belongs to box' created by a previous owner to verso of front endpaper. Contents are clean and bright. Bottom corner of rear endpaper has been torn off.
Ladybird Series 497. Buff boards with colour vignette and titles. Colour illustrations. A little bumping to cover edges. Name in ink to front endpaper. Some foxing to a few page margins. Pictorial wrapper is faded to spine and edges, with red crayon scribble to front panel and name in ink to top of front panel. Ned the Lonely Donkey is last title on rear flap.

Ladybird Series 417. Grey boards with colour vignette and titles. Also contains: THE NEW FISHING NET. Spine and corners bumped. Some faint evidence of erased pencil writing to top margin of title-page. Otherwise contents clean. Dustwrapper has top 1.5" missing to both front and rear panels (and spine), remainder of wrapper is torn and grubby, tape repairs on verso.
Series 417. Cream boards with colour vignette and titles. Also contains: THE NEW FISHING NET. Spine bumped. Light fingering to some page margins. 2cm closed tear (nearly invisible) to lower edge of 2 pages of contents. Overall, a splendid copy of a very scarce book. (Catalogue to rear only advertises books printed in 1941).

Series 401. Buff boards with square pictorial onlay to front and titles. Bumping along couple of cover edges. Some light green pencil colouring to front endpaper. Free front endpaper has an extensive ink drawing of a person to it. Some of the b/w illustrations above text to text pages have the characters tails coloured with biro. Ink tick and cross marks to other ladybird titles page to rear of book. Pictorial wrapper has ink underlining to titles on rear flap, edge-tear to front flap, and a few other smaller edge-tears and nicks. Name in pencil written across front of front panel. A few other smaller marks to wrapper. Overall, still a good copy of this scarce item.
Ladybird Series 474. A Tasseltip Tale. Pictorial paper boards. Spine and corners are bumped and worn. Top of spine has roughly 1/2 cm missing. Gift inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. 2" tear vertically up one page, next to spine. Contents are still bright. Pictorial wrapper is price-cut, edge-chipped, with a few inch edge-tears, that have been repaired to verso with sticky tape. Some small pieces of loss to corners. Grubby marks to rear panel. Overall, still a very good copy of this rarer ladybird title.

Ladybird Series 413. Illustrated buff boards. Full-page colour illustrations. Spine and corners bumped. Some grubby fingermarks to page margins else contents clean. Dustwrapper is price-cut, edge rubbed and creased with a 1" tear to lower corner of rear panel.

Pictorial wrapper is edge-torn and chipped, with 1.5" loss to base of spine, top of spine torn for 1.5". A few other closed tears that have been repaired with sticky tape to verso. Some small surface paper patches of damage.

A couple of light margin marks. Pictorial wrapper is a bit creased, edge-torn and chipped, with 1" loss to base of spine, 1.5" loss to rear flap and a large repaired tear to rear panel.

Contents are tight, bright and clean. Pictorial wrapper is badly torn to rear cover and spine and has been messily put back together; alot of creasing to rear panel, patch of surface paper damage to top of front panel. Large closed repaired tear also to front panel.
