Brown embossed cloth, gilt title to spine and embossed title to front cover. 360 pages (including index). Spine and corners bumped and worn with splits to spine edges and some slight loss of cloth at top and tail. Covers discoloured and faded, small patch of paper stuck to rear cover. Name in heavy pencil to front pastedown. Joints are cracked but binding is still tight. Contents are grubby and foxed, initials to textblock.

Name in ink to top margin of title-page. Endpapers browned and some slight cracking of joints. Textblock is grubby and dusty.

Margin of page 525/526 has a small tear which has been repaired with clear tape, now yellowed with age. Contents otherwise clean.
