Some light scuffing and a small damp stain to rear cover. Remains of a label to front pastedown. Inscription in ink to verso of frontis. Foxing and a light tobacco smell to contents. A nice copy of the first edition.

Large tear to front fold (so flap is almost detached), spine and rear panel grubby and quite a bit of loss to top of spine and to front corner.
